The HLF was specifically set up as knowledge sharing and networking forum for healthcare manufacturing companies. The HLF gives its members the opportunity to share expertise and discuss common supply chain challenges and developments directly with peers. The HLF regularly invites industry leading companies to share best practise concepts which can be of common interest to healthcare companies. This can be in the area of packaging, serialisation, warehouse and transportation logistics services, control tower concepts, etc.
Apart from the meetings and networking, also concrete projects are carried out such as e.g. supply chain benchmarking, freight benchmarking, cold chain packaging assessments and common discussions with logistics service providers.
The Healthcare Logistics Forum has two plenary meeting per year, the Spring Meeting in February and the Fall Meeting in October.
In between the members meet one-to-one, via discussion groups and/or via sub-project meetings.
What is the HLF not?
The Healthcare Logistics Forum is not a central purchasing organisation and does not have the ambition to become one. Members focus purely on supply chain related topics and do not engage in commercial topics related to their respective business.
Last but not least the Healthcare Logistics Forum is not intended to be a passive “talk more, act less” group. The focus is on active participation and advantages for the members in practice.
